Countdown and The Salvation Army have teamed up for their annual Countdown Food Rescue Christmas Appeal, which this year is expecting to help fill over 15,000 food parcels for New Zealanders experiencing food poverty around the country.
Jodi Hoare, The Salvation Army’s Community Ministries Programme Coordinator, says "Thousands of people across the country are experiencing hunger and food poverty every day, but Christmas only puts more pressure on household budgets”
