Naomi and the team at Waitakere Salvation Army are grateful for all the donations made in the West Auckland area. When people come to their foodbank seeking support, they are able to use your donation in food parcels, along with other essential items, plus they offer long-term support like budgeting advice to help get them through the tough times they're facing.
As the foodbank stock levels go up and down, the team need to top up different items to continue providing support to people in Waitakere. The items in this bundle may change on a regular basis to supply the team with what they need. If you choose to make this bundle a recurring donation, your donation will always be used to purchase the items you've selected on set up.
"We rely very strongly on our online donations for things like milk, margarine, cheese, fresh fruit and veggies and sanitary products. These are always the items that go quickly when families come in or are the items that they really need but don't ask for due to embarrassment.
We very rarely get donations from the public, although we are blessed to get support from local supermarkets and our corporate partners - online donations mean that people in the community support the work we do and that means a lot to us. We feel the love each week when our order is delivered!"
